We listened to a variety of jazz records that he and I had discussed via email--Brian Auger, Miles Davis (Cookin at the Plugged Nickel), and a bunch of live WR material (8:30 and Live and Unreleased). Our actual e-drum time was limited, but Stewart was able to get an idea of how Visu-lite cymbals, Pintech mesh pads, et al. sound through a ddrum module. My wife had such a good time during Stewart's visit, she came up with the idea that group members should pool a little money and rent an affordable meetingplace. If we were going to make it an international affair, we'd probably have to meet halfway, or at least in Bermuda, and if we wanted to do more than just chat, which is what we do online, we'd have to raise some money to stock the room with food (not so important) and drum equipment (more important). It could be like gathering at Guitar Center (just kidding, McConaghy). Feasible, huh? As it is, I hope that we can continue to have the type of guerilla convention that Stewart and I had more often. Highly recommended. Ed
