There is always a flurry of activity just before and during the 
release of a new version. Of course, the more glutted the used market 
is, the harder it becomes for individual sellers to unload. Plus, 
prices go down, and they keep going down. At this point, people who 
sell can get a slightly higher price than they might later, because 
not every potential buyer has become aware that the product lines are 
changing. But, when the new kits become common knowledge, and the 
older ones look more and more obsolete (though we know that's not 
true), prices fall in earnest. But e-drum market speculation is not 
an exact science; sometimes a diamond in rough shows up to buy at the 
most unlikely moment. If you're in the buying mode, all you can do is 
pay close attention to what's offered. Periodically, back check the 
ebaly selling prices of the model that you want to make sure that you 
don't pay too much.
