Yamaha's Percussion Freak

2004-03-20 by G

Has anyone seen this thing? It's a arcade style video game that uses
Yamaha e-drum pads. It has a hi-hat, snare, kick, 3 toms and a crash.
The game screen shows you a beat to follow. You score points if you
hit the right pad at the right time.
The pads are cheap looking (and feeling!)TP80's for the snare, toms
and hat's and PCY80 for the crash. (More like dense foam practice
pads that look like the popular gum-rubber ones) The sticks are real
but have a anti-theft cable attached to each! I didn't play it but I
took a good look at the pads and they did have the Yamaha logo on
them. I saw it at this place called the Midway. One of those places
for kids with mini-putt, jungle gym, video games etc.
