Hi
Guys,
I have
just purchased a TP80S and installed it with a stereo cable. The far end of the
rim does not seem to work.
If you
imagine the pad to be in four quarters, three work but not the fourth. What am I
doing wrong ?
I used
the spare pad through the 9/10 port using a 'Y' cable adapter. Would like to
achieve the same as Scott.
However when I hit each pad, it triggers the same instrument, whichever
one I set.
I
think that the Y cable may be wired incorrectly or have I missed
something ?
Thanks
for your help ...
Ian.

Subject: Re: [DTXpress] how many pads max. ???I have 10 pads connected: The 8 OEM singles, plus a TP80S for the snare & a PCY80S for an extra cymbal.I run a single pad & cymbal into 9/10 thru a y-connector. I have obtained 100% of my kit thru Ebay (rockbottommusic.com) or Yahoo Auctions.I'm not too happy with the PCY80S, tho. I was looking for a ride/bell ride from it, but the rim needs to be hit pretty hard & I have trouble with 16th's on it. I wasn't really interested in the choke. The TP80S rim also has to be hit hard, but it's not so bad at the right angle & I'm not trying for speed. For sidestick I dial down the volume.I do like the versatility of the extra pads - I assign the 4th tom pad to cowbell or floor tom, for 4 kits total (rim/ss, tom/cb).Has anyone seen the same problems with the rim-switch pads? Also, how are other folks arranging the snare pad to allow rim hits? I am hitting the far rim, with the stick going between the 1 & 2 toms.Scott in Georgia
