They needed some photocopies etc. which meant a delay of an extra week as I was not in the position to get them back any earlier. Based on feedback regarding the III, there does not appear to be much difference (i.e. the cymbal sounds are only marginaly better) so I bought a II at my local (5 miles) drum shop. The guy there really looked after me, throwing in a quality Tama throne, £70 kick pedal, couple of sets of Vic Firth sticks, good set of headphones, delivery the same day to my home including setup and an hour expaining the basics of the DTXPress. Also 2 free drum lessons (the first of which I had today :) I know I have paid more (Approx £100) for a II than I could have got a III from Thomann but I don't mind paying a bit extra for a quality local service. The DTXPress is great :) I havn't stopped playing since yesterday , well finally got to bed at 5:00 am this morning :)
