Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

I have a dtxpress, original version, that I use to practice with 
at home. I'm starting a new jazz/fusion project, and ordered a 4 
channel headphone amp/mixer for practicing with my new bass player. 
The mixer has dual 1/4" lines in for stereo. Does that mean I run 2 
mono cables out of the dtx into the mixer? Just want to make sure.
    Also, I was looking around at some accessories. Can I use the 
new 3 zone snare pad with my DTXpress 1? Can I get one of the 3 zone 
cymbal pads also? Can I use one of the cymbal bell attachments? If 
so, how do the cymbal bell attachments work? Do they plug into the 
cymbal first, then run into the brain?
   I've had this kit for awile, and it's main use has always been 
for personal practice. I've always used my acoustic for live playing 
and band practice. I just need a little help to make the jump to 
accoustic/electric hybrid, or electric.
