Hello Glen,
     As regards the setting I use, I'm afraid it isnt as black and 
white as you may think.  With the set up I have at the moment I use 
the mono output on the dtxpress brain, and put it straight into a 
small mixing desk (Behringer eurorack UB802).This then goes out of 
the desk to input one on the amp. The bass, low mid, high mid, and 
high settings are all set the about the middle, and I use the 
controls on the desk to alter the sound. 
  If you dont have any info on the Behringer kx1200, then you may 
like to visit www.behringer.com , go to the section on instrument 
amplification and then onto kx1200. There you will find you can 
download the manual, which will give you more info on the controls.
