It's Kevin actually and what I was saying was when I plug a cord into the additional INPUT not OUTPUT on the kick pad it triggers the rim sound... I have dabbled in electronics all my life (I even sell a communication cable that I fabricate, on another group) But from what I'm understanding there is no reason for the "rim" to be triggered from the second input.
