One of the neat features that Yamaha added on the Dtxpress III module is
when you select the RHH130 as the pad type for input no 8 (Hihat), the
module will disable the choking feature, so you can't accidentally "choke"
your hihat, unlike on the I/II(M) modules.

I think his kit is the III so should be OK?
