Pete,
 
I know that is one of the first things that I looked at on mine, when I was
having the problem, but once I added the foam insert the problem went away.
But Pete is right, you should always check the cables and connectors for
loose connections first.

Anyone mention the possible bad connection inside the Kick Tower? Check the
electrode there.
