Are the DTX III and IIIS Modules The Same?

Are the DTX III and IIIS Modules The Same?

2004-10-25 by Tom

I am under the impression that the modules are the same and that the
differences in these two kits is in the number and type of cymbal
pads and that the IIIS comes with a HH stand, bass pedal and
throne. Is that right?

Cheers,

Tom,

You are correct, the module is the exactly the same for both. The cymbals
that come with the III are a PCY65S & PCY65 and the hihat is a TP65. The
IIISP comes with a PCY150S, a PCY130S, a PCY130 and a RHH130 hihat. The
IIIsp also comes with the hihat stand, FP710 foot pedal and throne. But keep
in mind that a few online vendors will also throw in the pedal and throne on
the III or they will at least price match those that do. For example GC will
match your best deal you can find online, including any freebies.
