High Fellow's

2004-11-05 by guynthomas

Been looking at the many interesting posts on this forum it's now my
time for my first post.

So let's go!

Just came back from playing with a couple of guitar friends.
Used a local rehearsal room where they hired a PA system for me to
play my DTX through. But had many problems especially low end Bass
drum and Floor tom sounds.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to what I should look for in
terms of an Amp and Speakers.

Seen a cheap set up

What does anyone think or are there any recommendations. I am only
just starting out and welcome your comments.

Thanks in Advance.

Behringer KX1200 gets good recommendations. Around £200 if you shop
around. I haven't got one yet, but that is what I plan to buy soon.

Keith.

Also, you will never be sorry if you buy a Peavey keyboard amp.

Any particular one you would recommend?

Thanks,

I bought the KB-2 for in home use only. Plenty of volume and the high low range is awesome. Never any distortion at the volume at which I set it. (about half) Obviously, if you need a stage amp you will need to go bigger. A keyboard amp is the way to go. You need the range they provide.
