Just experimented and tried this out last night! I have two separate pads for my Hi-Hat set-up. Each going to separate DTX modules. My Hi- Hat controller is slit with a stereo 'Y' cable to both modules. What a trip:) I have one set to a higher pitch and the other to a lower pitch. The placements were tricky, but I have it situated where it works well...It's fun too:) Steve

Steve, I setup my last kit running the hihat triggers to two module, so that I could have a three zone hihat that was controlled from one HH65 hihat pedal. The three zones came from two on a PCY65S (bow/edge) and a the third on a PCY10 (bell). Since both pads were mounted to the same cymbal arm, it yeilded a three zone hihat. The HH65 was Y-split with a true stereo splitter to module 1 and module 2 HHCTRL jacks. The PCY10 output was sent to Module 1/Input 1 and Module 2/Input 8. The PCY65S output was sent to Module 1/Input 8 and Module 2/Input 1. The reason for sending the outputs from each pad to both modules was to take advantage of the "Specific Rejection" function in the modules so that hitting one pad wouldn't trigger the other. There are alot of creative things that can be done when you have two modules. OGD _____

Wow, now THAT's interesting! Yeah, I'm only using my DTXpress I and III modules now and thinking of different creative ways to connect pads. Things are going to get real crazy when I start using my Alesis DM Pro module! Especially with the Hi-Hat situation, these cool idea's can really give you multiple Hi-Hat sounds. It's a trip to have two choices of Hat set-up in one song without stopping changing the voice sample. Your way with the idea of having MORE inbetween sounds like a great idea to try:) If only I had room for TWO snares!:o As it is, I love the excess of cybal rides and crashes. My drummer friend (acoustic player) of 25 years of playing almost didn't know what to do with all my pads!
