Chick Sounds

Chick Sounds

2001-05-27 by ziv.elven@c2i.net

I got my kit on friday and I have been playing night & day since then.

I'm quite impressed with the selection of sounds, especially the
snares, but I feel that the closed HiHat "chick" sounds are very
limited. This seems strange to me, especially since Yamaha has
provided so many nice Pedal close sounds.
Has anybody got tips on how I can make the "chick" sounds more
realistic?

P.S. Has anyone tried the Grado Labs SR-80 Prestige Series
headphones? I plugged them in instead of the closed set my store
dealer provided me with. TONS of difference! Quite expensive (about
$180), but DAMN!!

If you reduce the amount of decay on the closed hat
sample it stops it sounding so unnatural and gives it
a bit more life.
