Broken HH65 Controller

Broken HH65 Controller

2005-07-25 by mtremeth

Hi All,
My HH65 stopped working this week, after owning it for about 6
months.
It looks like I will get a free replacement from Yamaha, but I am
concerned about this happening again ouside the warranty period. I
understand that It's going to wear, but I dont want to buy a new HH65
each time, especially when its the Force Sensitive Resistor and the
rubber pad above it thats wears out and the rest of the pedal is
fine.
Is their an email or phone number to get hold of these repacement
parts? I'm in the England UK. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I had a similar problem with my HH65. It suddenly responded only 50% of the time. This
was within the warrenty period, fortunately. Although I had two wait for a few months I got
a perfectly working new one and never had a problem with it. So I guess it's just a matter
of bad luck.

Yamaha apparently is poor represented in the UK. Go to the
Drumbalaya.com website and drop Ed Morin and his staff a line. There's
precious little in the e-drum world that Ed can't procure, even for
the UK.

Thanks guys for your replies, I will contact Drumbalaya. A quick
search doesn't show any spares of this kind for Yamaha. I still do
not
know if the Force Sensitive Resistor and rubber piece is available as
spares anywhere. Protecting the bass drum pad was easy with extra
padding on it, but their is no easy way around the HH65 problem.
