Cymbal chokes

Cymbal chokes

2001-07-28 by place1957@yahoo.com

I am picking up a DTExpress this afternoon. (The neighbors bitched
too much about the noise of my acoustic drums.... yea we will see how
they like these through the PA... hehehehe) Anyway, I know that out
of the box you can not get cymbal chokes with it. But is there a way
to do it with ad-ons pads/trigers? Some other way?

How does everyone deal with not having them? Just do you just not do
it?

Thanks

bob

Yes, you can get cymbal chokes using another pad, the fonction is in the
trigger menu and you don't need ad-ons pads. Personnally, I don't use this
settings(you must change the rejection settings), because cymbal chokes are
not always necessary and maybe using this process doesn't seem very natural.
But maybe if you really want to have this fonction, use an external pedal or
the hit hat pedal, it will be more practical.

PS: the rejection fonctions are discribed in the manual, you will see that
these fonctions were not created for cymbal chokes but to prevent double
triggers.
