Upgrading my DTXIII Special - which snare pad?

Upgrading my DTXIII Special - which snare pad?

2005-09-20 by primozpas

Hello!

I want to upgrade my DTXIII Special kit with a new snare pad.

So I was thinking about TP120SD from Dtxtreme. Is it worth upgarding?
Do I need a snare stand for TP120D?

Thanx in advance!

Think about the 10" pad instead, my TP120SD feels oversized compared
to the rest of the pads. I'd definitely go for the TP100 if I had it to
do again.

Hello!

So as I understand the only two differences between TP100 and
TP120SD are:
-TP120SD is larger in diameter
-TP120 needs a separate snare stand.

Other things like felling, 3-zones, etc. are the same as TP100? And
TP100 uses the same pad arm for rack as my TS65S? And a TP100 can be
used as a snare pad same as a TP120SD?

Hey,

I upgraded it with the tp100, don't need a snare stand, it fits the
original tomholder...

There's some photo's of my kit in the photo section.

The tp100/120 have a great feel, 3 zone's and a volume adjustment knob..

It works perfectly

Tom
