The Dtxpress I also required the use of a stereo cable to the HH60
controller pedal. I just verified that's what the manual states.  Where
a hihat pedal is just a open/closed (and no in-between sounds) would
probably be the only pedals that would use a mono cable.

Hi OGD,

My drums are DTxpess and trying to think... there is a picture on 
the hi hat controller foot pedal that shows "use this type of cable 
only" refering to a mono cable, I assumed (I know never assume) matt 
was talking about xpress I, thus my explanation. Why does the 
controller need to be stero in the below or any other model??

Hi,
Sorry OGD and Matt, I should have made sure before I opened my mouth.
I had another look and the picture on my hi hat controller shows 
Stero plug the mono plug goes to the bass
so please accept my apologies, OGD you are the man.
I've got to stop relying on my uummmmm, you know, my eeerrr ummm oh 
memory thats it.
