Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hi,

Does anyone know how to use this Hi Hat pedal as a second bass drum 
pedal? The manual for my DTXpress 3 special is a bit vague on how to 
do this?Thanks

I think you assign the "foot close" sound to a bass drum sound, then
on the hi-hat, set the hi-hat open and closed sounds as the same sound
(so it has no effect).

Yeah I did this the other day.  Just set the closed pedal to a bass 
sound, then the open to no sound....it's crap.  My foot controller 
pickes up about every third hit.  So, I just ran out and got a double 
bass pedal and am loving that!
