one more question about metronome.

one more question about metronome.

1999-12-14 by farmerjoe66@xxxxxxx.xxx

Hey, Thanks for answering my questions regarding the DTXpress!!!
I am going to use it only for practice so I think it will be great.

one more question regarding the built in metronome.

Can I set it to play for say 3 measures and then silently count for 4 and then loop back??

I want to do this primarily for working on my time and I thought this might be a great way of doing that.

Thanks

Joe

No. Once you start that clicker, it'll go on forever
until you stop it. What you can do though, is to use
the record feature and record yourself playing a side
stick (or whatever) for 3 bars followed by the period
of silence. Then, you quantize the song you've just
recorded and play the song back looped.

no, the metronome is either on or off, but you could achieve the same thing by recording a song using click track voices, set the number of measures the song is to run for - say eight, play for four and then drop out for the last four ( don't forget the DTXpress gives you a 2 measure count in before recording starts ) After you have played you can quantitize the song to make sure it's in time. It may take a few attmepts to get the quantitized song bang on the money, but its the only way I can think to do this.

Enjoy...
