Drum Thrones

Drum Thrones

2006-05-15 by pcbye111

Greetings:

Anybody have any suggestions on a real comfortable drum throne. I have
the DTXpressIII SP and the OEM unit is OK, but something a little
cushier would be nice for long practice sessions.

Regards;

Peter

My butt highly recommends the Roc-N-Soc seat.
After two productions in the pit with a standard seat I decided it was
worth the extra cash. And it really is.
I was able to buy the seat without the stand for about $50.

My g/f bought me a Pearl drum stool which works except a) it creaks,
and b) my tutor recommended I buy one that turns to adjust the height
as ones that require a drum key for adjustment slowly creep downwards.
He was right.

So. My recommendation is, don't buy the Pearl drum stool I've got :-)
and make sure it adjusts by turning the seat on a thread.

Cheers

I second the Roc and Sock. I have the one with the back rest and it's
been awesome. I always have to kick a cat out of it when I sit down to
play.
