Intermittent response from DTXpress II kick trigger

Intermittent response from DTXpress II kick trigger

2006-06-24 by swbaxter

Here's an odd one.

I am noticing that sometimes I get no response from the kick drum
trigger (KP65) on my DTXpress II kit.

The problme seems to get worse if I've reprogrammed the kit somehow -
if I do a factory reset it goes back to normal.

Anyone heard of anything similar?

Steve

solder joints were broken inside. Design was poor on Yamaha's part.
Not sure about the KP65 but open it up and look at the jack to see
if stress has broken the solder joint.
