Question for members of the group that have been on here for a while

2006-07-19 by otacon28music

Hello everyone ,

I was just wondering if anyone has ever seen Walt gardus on here
anymore ? I have tried for the past 2 years to find out what ever
happend to him and how he seemed to just basically vanish from the
normal places I used to see him on the net . We used to deal with
each other through ebay as well but he hasn't had a transaction on
there since around mid 2004 . Walt was one the guys that I always
looked forward to hearing from ( not that there isn't others but you
get the idea ) . I have tried numerous attempts through email and
even through emailing him through ebay , but haven't ever gotten a
reply back . I was hoping that someone on here may have some
knowledge of maybe that he's ok and if anything has happened to him
since we last spoke in 2004 . Just concerned about a friend that I
basically met on this group a few years back and figured some
members that have been on this group for a while may know
something .

If anyone has any info please email me directly at the following
email address :

Thanks for your time ,

Hi Sam,

Walt seems to have fallen off the face of the earth. You may remember
that years ago, I and another of his pals were able to trace him to a
new job (if I remember correctly, at IBM), but the most that we ever
received for the trouble was a message on his answering machine.
After he had disappeared, he remained the ownwer/moderator of the DTX
group on Yahoo for a while, though his group began to suffer because
no one was taking care of it. After I began posting about the need
for a moderator there, a new moderator was mysteriously appointed.
Walt must have done it, since only an owner can transefer power
(Yahoo can't intercede), but not even the new moderator had heard
anything from him.

Too bad. I was thinking about Walt the other day. The circumstances
were so odd--one day here, the next day gone. I can only hope that
nothing bad happened to him or a member of his family. He was one of
the good guys.

Thanks, Andy. Last we heard from Walt he was living in Minnesota. He
was a great champion of the original DTXtreme kit, with the wooden
shells and mylar heads. God bless'im. His disappearance is a sad
unsolved mystery.
