There appear to be two - a switch type and a variable type. While it is possible to get a switch type pedal to work with the DTXpress (it really wants a variable one) it is not easy. There was a discussion about this a month or two ago - the original poster gave up trying and bought a Yamaha pedal, although it is technically possible to use a switch. See message 12624 etc. Keith.

Wait! Before you sell that Hart pedal, check out Drumbalaya -- they sell an inexpensive little converter module for both Hart and Roland Pedals that allow them to work with Yamaha drum modules. Here's the info page on Drumbalaya's site: http://shop.drumbalaya.com/Electronic_Drums/Hi-hat_Converters I ran into this problem when I bought my Hart kit and hooked it up to a DTXtreme module. In the end, I ended up buying a HH65 pedal because I liked it better but I know there are others using the Hart pedal with Yamaha modules. Matt
