Yamaha DTXPress Module with Roland pads/cymbals

Re: Yamaha DTXPress Module with Roland pads/cymbals

I picked up two used PD-8 dual trigger pads and a new KD-8 kick, and
except for having to muck about a bit with the trigger settings in the
module for the KD-8, they all work fine. The original Yamaha pads are
single trigger, but the module allows for dual trigger pads, and I saw
this as a cheap and easy way to fit twice the kit in one space.
If I hadn't decided to just get a whole new kit, I'd probably get some
PD-7's and a decent mesh snare as well. But I need a new brain, so it's
time to plunk down the big cash. Also, I don't really care for the
cymbals and hats in this unit, I find they're too undependable, so I
use real cymbals, and usually a real snare too. I use this kit mainly
for theater productions, so I'm always using mallets and brushes on the
cymbals.
