Has anyone done anything to add any support to the rack system for the DTXpress? Mine wants to wobble, and it feels like it is leaning forward??? Any suggestions or fixes would be appreciated. Cary

They come from the factory with one side on top, one on bottom. I have switched mine. They work better for my set-up. Anyway, Yamaha makes available the angle supports. Check out their web site. You would actually need four more to totally stiffen it up: one more on each of the sides, and two on the front bar. I really don't have that problem. I have never been a hard hitter(and you don't need to be with electronics anyway). Also my Concertcast pad I use for snare is mounted on a snare stand. Thats probably the biggest offender for sway and bounce. And I mount the module on a separate rack with my mixer, fx, and headphone monitoring gear. Just getting that module's weight off of it makes a big difference. I have a tiny midi program transmitter on my rack near my left hand to change kits. I hate scrolling thru patches with + & - buttons! The angle braces are your best bet. There is just no way with out them to stiffen up the rack when the clamps are composit (plastic). I guess you could upgrade to a sturdier rack. ...Good luck... Scott

Try the Pintech braces: cheap and almost the same as the Yamaha ones. I put two on my DTXpress rack: works great. I think I paid around 10 bucks ea. on line. Mark artifax@... wrote:

Mark - Do you recall which site you purchased the Pintech supports from on the internet? This sounds like the perfect solution. Cary --- In DTXpress@y..., "Mark T.
