Tom, You should just be able to use the headphone or lineout from the DTXpress. You need to turn the volume up a long way to get a decent sized signal, but it should work. Keith.

Thomas, You'll get a better result recording from the Left/Right outs than the headphone port, because they put out a stronger signal. (You'll also want to use these if you ever play live, or plug into a PA or soundboard). You will need to convert from two mono plugs to stereo, and from quarter inch to 1/8inch plug. The latter part it sounds like you already know how to do. The first part can be accomplished using an adapter from Radio Shack, or something like this: http://shop.drumbalaya.com/YPP136?sc=2&category=38. Another way to go about it would be to get a cable that goes from 1/8" stereo plug to left and right mono RCA plugs, and then just get two RCA to 1/4" adapters. That's probably the easiest you can do, because Radio Shack will have all the necessary cables and adapters. Hope this helps you! -- Phill Cohen --- In DTXpress@yahoogroups.com, "Keith" <keith@...> wrote:

One thing I left out, Thomas: Be careful not to get your stereo field reversed. Generally, cables color-coded red go to the right output. There are other colors associated with other things, they use both white AND black for the left side, and things get complicated when you're hooking up a surround sound system! Just make sure that say, if you have your hi- hat panned to the left in the module, that you really hear it more from the left speaker, or your recording will come out in reversed- stereo. Not a big deal, but just something to be aware of. -- Phill --- In DTXpress@yahoogroups.com, "Phillip Cohen" <pjcohen@...> wrote: > > Thomas, > > You'll get a better result recording from the Left/Right outs than the > headphone port, because they put out a stronger signal.
