cubase and midi q's again.

cubase and midi q's again.

2008-08-17 by scott.dmercer

Hi guys sorry if this has been covered and I can't find it. I can
record midi in cubase no probs and playback through my module, sweet!
But I want to play it independently through cubase without my module
and retain the dtxpress drum sounds is this possible? Hopefully
someone knows the answer to this and can put me out of my misery.

thanx

Midi is just note data, e.g. which note you played, when and how hard etc.

If you wanted the sounds you'd have to record the audio out of your module, which may (or may not) depending on your computer's sound card require a separate audio interface.
What do you have in terms of software/hardware (include version of cubase please)?
;
I'll try to offer some kind of solution if I can :)

Yeah I thought that might be the case, I'm using cubase le 1.0.8 and a
dtxpress. My computer is an acer aspire 3624wxci so I'm assuming it
doesn't have a good sound card in it. Thanks for the help!
