Misc. Voices Cut-Off?

Misc. Voices Cut-Off?

2001-11-23 by cisum64@excite.com

Hello,

I'm brand new to this group and to the DTXPRESS and I want to first
say that I'm very happy to have found out about all of you fellow
owners.

Having said that, I'm going to ask my first question. After assigning
a misc. voice (m:), I experience a never ending tone. In other words,
if i choose BRASS 4, the horns never stop they just hold that note
forever. What do i have to do to have these tones play just one quick
note each time I hit the pad?

Thanks,

Scott

In the Voice menu, scroll down until you find "Hold
Mode=on". Set it to off.

Giles,

Thanks for the reply but I had already tried this and the note still
lingers. With HOLD NOTE=OFF or ON, the note stays in a hold position.

Any other possible remedies?

THanks,

Scott

I'm away from my kit at the moment, but try looking at
the Voice Decay setting to make sure it's not -64 or
anything silly. Also, check the pad is set up as
One-Shot.
If you could find the time to send me (or the group) a
printout of all the voice/trigger settings for that
particular pad, I'm sure I could spot the problem.

Thanks Giles, my kit is not set up at the moment (used it for a gig
yesterday), but I will gladly take a note of all the settings for that pad
once I set the kit up.

THanks again for the follow up,

Scott
