Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hello,

I have a problem ! 8-)

I have a sound blaster live 1024 and i don't understand why i don't 
hear dtxpress sound via a midi connexion.
I think it's a configuration problem both sound blaster live and also 
dtxpress. I use a midi cable who have connected to a 15-din sound 
card (Gameport/MIDI).

What is the configuration in windows and sound blaster ?

I don't know what operating system and what software you are using, 
but...

1) You need to enable your midi-in using control panel.
2) Then you need to use a sequencer software such as cakewalk or 
midijammer and enable midi-in (or midi-thru I don't remember right 
now) there too.

Provided your hardware (cable, etc.) is OK the above should work. The 
PC that I'm currently using (in office) does not have any sound 
capability, but if you can't manage to get any sound let me know, 
I'll try to prepare a list of the exact things you need to do once I 
get home (assuming you have win95/98/me).

Hello,

Thanks for your help but i have found the problem.
In configuration Multimedia, i must disabled Game Port
Joystick and it's good.
Now, the sound is generated by DTXpress and I can
recorded with a classic sequencer. However, when I
record Dtxpress pattern, the pads don't correspond at
the record. Example : kick -> tom, etc ...
I think it's a configuration problem ! :-)
