Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

hello all,
             i want to get a solid user friendly studio based 
software for my pc. to be able to lay down some drum ,and keyboard 
tracks on (ex. cakewalk) and i was wondering if someone would be able 
to give me some good advice on what options there are out there,and 
what are some features to look for in this kind of software..i will 
be buying a roland 8 track recorder within the next month or so,but 
i'd like to get some of midi stuff from my module(the dtxepress) ex. 
the gm keyboard voices..and be able to record from my computer 
until,also does anyone know where to get the pc-1 computer connection 
cable to be able to hook my drum module up to my pc.??????
