You can assign the drum sound for the click track. Could you therefore
assign the click sound to the right side using the stereo setting. Then set
all the drum sounds to central stereo or left only. Then take the left hand
stereo signal out of the brain for the audio track you want to listen to or
record?

I can't try this because my DTXpress is back at Yamaha UK being fixed.
