Stereo/Boom Box with line in

Stereo/Boom Box with line in

2002-01-30 by animatoranimator

Has anyone seen or have a combo stereo or boom box with a line/mic in?
I'm looking for one that's around $100 just for praticing with the DTX.
I haven't seen any in the stores. Most have an aux in, but I want to
send the stereo channels from the DTX into a combo stereo/boom box and
be able to "play along" and hear both the drums and the cd or radio.
Maybe what I'm looking for falls under Karaoke amp?

depending on what size your practice space is ,have you ever thought
of just running through a stereo receiver???? i run my kit through my
sony(which is a str-d715 audio/video control center) essentially a
reciever, also i run my cd player through my dtx press mod(i actually
have 2 of them for my kit,but i have the cd player run into my
primary one)also you can make tapes of your practicing when you run
through a reciever that sound alot better than from a portable
stereo.,and you can use the headphones input on the reciever for
better sound quality than what you can get from the dtxpress
headphone input(not that the modules input for headphones doesn't
sound good, but you get the idea)when you plug the module into a
stereo receiver you can control all of the volumes from the knobs on
the dtx,(for a good auxilary input mix with the sound of your kit)and
just leave the stereos volume where it is,all you need to do this is
a double cable that has 2 1/4" ends on one end,and 2 rca ends on the
other,so you would be running in stereo, thus being able to use the
panning on the module to have you kit run from left to right(or vice
versa if you're a lefty) just like an acoustic kit would sound when
played!!

hope this helps you out!!
