Mind if I crash?

Hi all, Familiar story...after drumming in my youth, last year I started dreaming about picking it up again, this time via electronics (acoustics too noisy and all that). So after reading through the archives of this list, I ordered a DTXpress. While waiting (3 weeks) and carefully reading your posts I--brace yourselves--changed my order to the DS10 with the DTX v2 module. I was wondering if you'd mind me posting my observations anyway, since the kits have a lot in common. Might also provide a few new hints and perspectives on sticks, hardware and programming etc. Someone asked about that KP80S kick tower recently and I've got that one, for instance.
