Double Bass solution, mesh snare & additional zone- $100 bucks

Hi all, First thanks for the help and advice I have recieved from everyone. This is really a great group! I purchased my kit last week and am having a blast figuring it out. 2 problems I had were. 1. I use a dw5000 double bass pedal which won't work with the yamaha kick trigger 2. Not crazy about the rubber snare pad. After a few hours of hard playing, my fingers and wrist were killing me. So what I decided to do was kill 2 birds with one stone. I took a mono trigger (tom 3) and made it my kick trigger. It works great and handles double pedal easily! Just attach it to the bottom cross-support. I think the response and feel is WAY better than the yamaha kick trigger. For the snare, I just ordered a Pintech ConcertCast which should help out with the feel and wrist problems. Then I took the old snare pad and made it a tom to replace the one I am using for the kick. I set the second zone to a cowbell or block. Solved 3 problems for $100! Hope this helps anyone in a similar situation. JJ
