PCY10 triggers cymbal - ??

PCY10 triggers cymbal - ??

2002-05-10 by debby22

Has anyone else had a problem of the PCY10 triggering the cymbal that
it is mounted to? I've tried turning the sensitivity of the cymbal
down, but when I hit the PCY10, it still wants to trigger the cymbal -
 any suggestions??

I haven't tried this because I don't own a pcy-10, but
silicone may work. Its great for handling vibrations.
That's why most acoustic drum triggers are to be
attached with silicone adhesive. It keeps the trigger
from false triggering because it deadens it just
enough. Take the felt you have between the pcy-10 and
the cymbal pad and replace it with a piece of
silicone. clear silicone adhesive is not quite as
deadening as white. Hope this helps. -Joe

If you have the manual, see page 37. section 1-4, self rejection,
rejection. These settings help eliminate cross triggering. See also
page 67. If you don't have the manual, post again and I'll
elaborate.Just don't get too wild with the adjustments! Specific
rejection is probably what you want. 'SPCRej'

Hope this helps....Scott

When I got my PCY10 it came with a huge piece of felt that sat between it and the PCY60. I haven't had any problems with unwanted triggering???
