It's easy: use a mini-stereo-jack to mini-stereo-jack cable and plug one
side into your headphones-connection on the CD-player in your PC and the
other end into the aux-in on your DTXPress.

If you also want to play along with MP3, or just don't have a phone-out on
your built-in CD-player, you could use the phones- or line-out of your PC
sound card. Same cable needed!

good luck,

Erik

Click just on phones, not on line out on DTXPress II

2002-10-24 by Erik@Dobbelsteijn

Hi all,

On the DTX-video that Walt so helpfully distributed (see the Yamah_DTX
list), I saw that the DTX can mute the click on aux-outputs. The click is
then only audible on the headphones-output.
I'm looking for this feature on the DTXPress II, but haven't found it so
far. The DTXPress II has no aux-outs, but I am hoping that it is possible to
mute the click on the outputs on the back of the brain. If it's not
possible, then I guess I want too much for my money ;-)

Anyone? Thanks,

Erik

Hi,

: where did you get his video?

A guy called 'Walt' on the Yamaha_DTX@yahoogroups.com list was so friendly
to make copies and send them at cost-price. I'm not sure whether he'll
continue to do so. I intend to digitize them as soon as the VCR-PC setup is
working again here at the office, so people can download them.

Regards, Erik

Walt is on this group too, but you may want to look at
the posts on the Yamaha_DTX group for the details. I
can still get some copies made if anyone is
interested...Thanks, Walt

The video is way out of print. Two years ago Walt had to jump through
hoops to get it copied privately and then distributed to members of
his DTX group. If you haven't done so, maybe you should post your
interest at Yahoo DTX; maybe someone who has it will be willing to
copy it for you.
