Opinions on the DS9XPSII

Opinions on the DS9XPSII

2002-11-19 by Karl Sangree

My wife wants to learn to play drums, and I am considering the
DS9XPSII. With the arguments of acoustic vs. digital aside, is this
a good kit? I searched the group's archive using
"DS9XPSII" and
nothing came up. Is this kit just too new? I looked on the Yamaha
web site and they don't even have it listed there.

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

You didn't find anything in your search because DS9XPSII is Yamaha's
part number, not the common name that the kit is known by. Do a
search on DTXpressII or just DTXpress and there will be more than you
can read in a day.

For the money, it's a great kit. If you want to spend twice or three
times as much, there are better kits out there, but certainly not at
that price point.

TRY THESE LINKS FOR A QUICK OVERVIEW. DTXPRESS II is the most
reasonable kit currently on earth, you can get for a price of about
$1000.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
