Russ Millers crash course and some more

2002-12-27 by leffelejon <kth9120@hgo.se>

Hi

I was wondering about "the drum crash course" by Russ Miller. They
have released a special dtxpress version of it..
http://www.russmiller.com/products2dscc.htm
i was wondering if anyone tried it... the music cd wich comes with
it should go to get into the brain of the dtxpress but how?
and does it work with the dtxpress2...

And one more question, how does one do to record stuff to the
computer.. i can record the drums into cakewalk but i cant get the
backing music with it. And then is there a way to covert it to .wav
or mp3 from midi? i use cakewalk and havent figured that out yet.

happy new year :=)

Russ Miller sent me this...
The DTX version of the Crash Course book
comes with a CD-ROM disc, rather than an audio CD. All of the
exercises and songs in the book are MIDI files configured in General
MIDI for use in playback through any general MIDI sound source such
as the DTX, DTX 2.0 , DTXPress and DTXtreme. Also, it will work
through any GM keyboard. This is a great advantage because you can
now slow down the tempos of the songs and exercises, mute various
instruments of the kit for reference and also record yourself with
the MIDI files directly into DTX!
