I just felt like sharing this with all of you. I ordered the
DTXpress kit in December 1999 and I finally received a call (today:
Feb. 23) from the store saying it's arrived. At last!!!
I also wanted to thank this great e-group for all the info I couldn't
get anywhere else. My decision to buy this kit has been alot easier.
Well, that's it. I look forward to playing around with this new toy
and getting better as a drummer. Again, thanks to all of you.

You know... If you stop to think about it, it's a powerful time in our history. No one had this power at our fingertips hundreds, thousands of years ago. We have something that not even the pharoahs, kings, presidents, despots, the best musicians of the time, what have you could ever hope to have. Even a country's entire treasury couldn't buy something like this. Transport them to today, they would probably go nuts with the power this could provide for them. Think about it. If you wanted to hear a band play, you ALWAYS had at least three choices - 1) assemble the musicians in your area; 2) forget about it if you couldn't afford it or it wasn't available; or 3) just imagine what it would be like (if you had experienced something like that before).

Greetings: I have to tell you that by using a headphone amp, it really helps
to bring out the sound quality, especially with the cymbals. I own a
dtxpress 1, and am very satisfied with what it can do. I do agree that if you are
comparing a high end acoustic set to these e-drums, then you proberbly should not
own one, except for practice.
