HH And Snare Problems...Forgot To Ask This

HH And Snare Problems...Forgot To Ask This

2003-01-23 by jadiebooshkie <jadiebooshkie@yahoo.com>

Hi again...I forgot to post this question (please forgive me as my
computer has been in sick bay for a week, it just got fixed and I
have some catching up to do on this group). When I hit my HH, the
snare will also give off a low pitch sound...what am I doing wrong,
and what needs to be adjusted to fix this?

Hi,

See post 2961. Program the snare for specific rejection of the hi
hat (presumably, trigger 2 to reject trigger 8). Set the numerical
value only as high as you need to stop the snare from firing when
you hit the hat. Too high a setting will cause the hi hat to drop
out when the snare is struck. A couple of other settings may come
into play. I think 2961 discusses them.
