Where is my barpad??

Where is my barpad??

2003-02-04 by underneathheaven <realvast@swbell.net>

Ok today my bp80 was supposed to come in and it didnt, after I paid
www.drumcentral.com twenty dollars shipping! What kind of crap is
that? And twenty dollars??? How much does the thing weigh?? I
hope it doesnt tip over my rack! Anyways...ill just have to play
tonight without it!

If Drum Central told you exactly what day it was going out, and you
paid for any delivery faster than ground that was supposed to be
today, you should be able to get money back from UPS or FedEx, but
you have to call Drum Central about it; complaints can only come
from the shipper. It would help if you had a tracking number, and
the website specified date of delivery.

Hi

I was able to make a bar pad like device for less the US$4 with parts
from Radio Shack. It is working great as a wood-block & cow-bell.
All you have to do is solder 2 wires and glue another.

Ref: Mini Trigger at http://edrum.for.free.fr/index.php

Yeah I could create my own...but I don't know!
Heres the thing though ed, drumcentral didnt tell me how much they
were charging for shipping until after they ship it. I called em
asked how they ship and they said by ups ground. Then I checked my
credit card bill online and it was an additional twenty dollars!!
So I dont know about this...

Seems outrageous. I can't imagine charging that much money to send a
measly bar pad anywhere via UPS ground. I've sent a much heavier box
of equipment from Mass. to Wash. state for much less. Is this a
store that we should avoid?

Well I got the arm and clamp and all that stuff plus the bar so the
price originally looked good, 119.00 compared to $130-140 else
where. Drumbalaya had the pad but it didnt come with the arm and
stuff but I'm more than sure shipping would have been better from
then...I dont need these extra charges when I'm looking into getting
a PM16 you know?? A store we should avoid?? With shipping like
this, yes.
