struggling to find Decent hi hat sounds

Can anyone help me with how to get better hi hat sounds out of the 
DTXpress 2. I have tried mixing sounds but they always sound thin 
and electronic any help most appreciated

Have you lengthened the decay settiings on the stick sounds yet?
That's pretty much a necessity.

The decay is normally set at +40. Try taking it to 0. I found that 
suggestion here in this forum and found it really fattens up the hats.
