Heard From Dave Jewell

Heard From Dave Jewell

2003-02-25 by Jade <jadiebooshkie@yahoo.com>

Guys...I just heard from Dave Jewell in regards to this midi problem
several of us are having. He has taken my case that I started Thurs
night,(he spoke with Jack who discovered the same problem I had) and
is giving it to the Head Customer Support (MIDI Guru) Martin. He is
supposed to call me, whether it will be this evening or
tomorrow, don't really know when. But if Martin can't figure out what
is going on with the DTX module and "other external midi devices"
then Dave will email the builder of the module, Soo Tanaka, to find
out if there is a flaw or if the midi interface has been changed. I
will keep everybody posted on this situation. Dave Jewell DID SAY
that the DTX module SHOULD work with the midi devices, in our cases,
the PM-16 and Kat MidiKiti. He assured me, they will get to the
bottom of this. Let's all pray that there is a SIMPLE fix to this
issue, and we can be happily on our way to midi bliss!!
Thanks for ALL your help and support, and if anyone else encounters
the same problem, please post it on this forum. Dave Jewell and
Martin will be looking at the posts, as I told him there were more
guys experiencing the same problems, and posting them in this forum
since we brought up this problem. I for one, am willing to give
Yamaha a shot at working this out. Dave was very sincere, and I
think Martin will be also. I will let ya'll know more when Martin
calls me, and what the next move will be.
Once again, Thanks for your support...you guys are all great! *And
a special thanks to Ed and Walt for their countless hours of help
and support on this entire situation.

Let's Hope this works out for the better! I'm
anxiously awaiting adding on an external MIDI
interface to my DTX, and I'd hate to think that there
may be some difficulty in doing so. Thanx for keeoing
us informed!

Brett,
Keep an eye on this forum...I will be keeping everyone
informed, and I will not let this go by with out an
answer! But I think Yamaha will keep their word, and
get to the bottom of the problem, whether it is
theirs, or we are doing something we have overlooked,
or are missing something.
