Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

I was wondering if anyone has mounted that little bell pad and just 
used it as a splash?  Is it possible or even a good idea?  I've 
never seen how big the thing actually is so I don't know much about 
it.  Is there a little slash arm that could hold it?  Thanks!!

Hi UNH,

It is (roughly) about 9 inches in diameter, and as far
as what sound it produces - it can be anthing you
want.  I suspect it could be mounted above any cymbal
with a cymbal stacker, but I haven't tried that.  If
you're real interested, I could snap a few pictures of
it for you..

Yeah let me see a pic of it so i can get some ideas!  I was also 
thinking about a cymbal stacker but wasn't sure.  I think I might 
wanna try that!  But I want to mount it on my rack arms not on top 
of any other cymbal, I'm not to sure about the hardware that could 
do that.  Thanks!!

UTH:
Check out TAMA Hardware line. They have a splach cymbal mount that's 
designed to attache to the lower end of a cymbal boom. That would 
probably fit onto a rack clamp.
