KP60 Dodgy Trigger

Hi there! I bough a dtexpress set 3 years ago. Hadn't been playing for a while, moved to a terrace house, wanted something that wouldn't annoy the neighbours, etc.... Been playing practising 5 hours a week for last 2 years. Now the bass trigger (kp60) has finally given up. Firstly there was an intermittent breakup of signal, followed by a complete loss. The jack had come off the PCB (surprise surprise!)...I soldered it back on. Then I thought about how I'd like to get my hands on the guy who designed the thing. Putting a PCB on a high-impact device? Complete madness. I removed the PCB from the kick tower. It now sits screwed down in a heavy duty isolted metal box with lid. The box has an input and output jack on the side; one to the tower, the other to the processor. They are all connected via standard musical leads. All the kick tower has in it is the transducer and a jack socket. The box (3" sq) sits on the floor next to the kick tower. This worked a dream for ages, no problems. But now the wires from the transducer to jack socket (inside the kick tower) have flexed so much and work hardened they are v.brittle and keep breaking. I strip the transducer wire back a bit and resolder to the jack socket wire in the tower. This has happened a few times; now I have stripped the wire right back to the transducer - there is none left to play with. I need a new piezo. Can anyone tell me the spec. of the piezo? And where to get one within the UK? Or mail order from US? Many thanks, Fanchaboy.
