Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hi,

I have the dtxpress now for a month, and I'm quite fond of it. 
There's only one thing I don't get accustomed to: the snare. In 
particular, I find it too small. So now I'm thinking about modding 
one of my acoustic snares (using mesh heads). I already read there's 
some experience with ddrumtriggers, but it seems it's not too 
positive. 

So my question is: has anyone positive experience with other triggers 
combined with the dtxpress? For example, the triggers Yamaha 
themselves offer?
