Hi Dams,

Welcome to the group, and we hope you have as much fun
with your DTXpress II as we have with our kits!

There were some posts in this group over the last
month that confirmed that DTXchange does work with
Windows BP and the DTXpress II, so you should be able
to use them together. There is a way to search the
posts to find the ones on that topic.

If I understand your second question correctly, you
were asking if the tips about the DTXpress will work
on the DTXpress II, and my answer is that most of them
do apply to the DTXpress II. There are, of course,
some differences between the two versions, but most of
the operations and concepts are the same on the two
versions.

Certainly if you have specific questions just let us
know. There are 2 things we have found about the
DTXPress II that I will warn you about. First, I
would suggest that one of the very first things you do
is to reset your module to the Factory Default
settings. I recommend this because several people
have had trouble connecting MIDI devices to the
DTXpress II, and after reseting the module, the
problems are resolved. Even if you do not have plans
to use MIDI now, it is easier to reset the module
before you customize it, because the reset erases your
unique settings.

The second problem is that the default settings for
rejections between the snare and HH are wrong, which
causes a problem when both pads are hit together. The
symptom is that if you hit the snare and HH together,
one of them may not make a sound, because the
rejection settings are incorrect.

I hope this helps you to get started...

Walt

Hi Dams,

You do not need to apologize for your English - I know
you communicate much better in English, than I can
communicate in French! Walt
