KP60

Those of you who've been around for a while may remember how fond I
am of Yamaha's dear departed KP60 kick drum pedal. To prove the
depth of my affection, I have two KP60s, and, friends, I'm willing
to part with them for a song. Presumably, you already have a pedal,
but now you can be the first triple-bass-drummer on your block. You
say that you can't even play one bass drum, let alone three or even
two (leaving aside for the moment any purely physical deficiencies)?
Not to worry. The KP60s don't really make any noise (except for
Jim's and now Creighton's, though he cheated), so any reservations
that you might have about playing them properly are completely moot.

Seriously, I have two of them. If any adventurous DIYer wants to
tinker, contact me offline. I'll even test them for you, if it
matters, to tell you exactly what you're getting. I worked on both
of them (new piezos, soldering, etc.), but I can't vouch for either
of them now, though I suspect that at least one fulfills its
function to some degree. I just can't bear to try them unless
someone forces my hand.

Cheated! Cheated! The KP60 is an excellent thing to attach a pedal to. One should avoid connecting this device to the brain however, since this leads to the sort of bitter outlook you express so eloquently.
