Roland SPD-6

Hi all, Does anyone have an SPD-6 that he has sucessfully linked(MIDI) to the DTXpress? I can't seem to get it to make any noise.I have been thru both manuals, and tried to make the correct settings, no luck. The hard part is with the SPD-6, having no display, settings are a crap-shoot! Thanks...Sott
